From this month, Guangdong Expressway will no longer set up a separate artificial toll lane.

At present, there are less than 50 days to cancel the provincial boundary station, and 861 new expressway toll stations in the province can handle ETC on the spot.

It is reported that at present, the ETC circulation of Guangdong vehicles has exceeded 16 million. With the cancellation of provincial toll stations approaching, ETC lanes are widely used, and the corresponding traditional artificial lanes are gradually decreasing. There is a big gap between the traditional toll collection method and ETC in efficiency and experience, and it has become a general trend to change the toll collection method of expressway. For example, in Rong Gui toll station of Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Line Expressway, vehicles taking mixed lanes generally have to wait 3 to 5 minutes longer than those taking ETC lanes. In case of traffic jam, it takes longer, so handling ETC has become a major event for people’s livelihood.

In view of this, Guangdong Communications Group launched 861 expressway toll stations in the province to become the "nearest" ETC handling points. At the exit of the mixed lane, according to the instructions of the on-site staff, the owner scans the special QR code and enters the ETC applet of Yuetong Card. By uploading the certificate, binding the debit account, filling in the product number, and finally applying for the "self-lifting" method, the installation and activation can be completed on site. According to the reporter’s observation, a series of operations are guided by the on-site staff, with high efficiency and simple operation.

"The original work is busy and I haven’t had time to deal with it. This time, I ran through the toll station for a few minutes. I didn’t expect to be able to handle ETC at the exit site. It was fast and convenient, which was shorter than blocking a car. " Mr. Tang told reporters with the newly completed Yuetong Card.

Not only at the high-speed toll gates, but also villages and towns in remote locations have become the main targets of this operation. Shantou-Meizhou Expressway, Tianshui-Shantou Expressway and Shantou-Zhanjiang Expressway under Guangdong Communications Group organized employees to "go out" on their own initiative, formed ETC publicity and promotion teams, and went to villages, towns and communities to fight ETC promotion "guerrilla warfare" to expand the radiation scope of ETC publicity work.

Erguang Expressway also formed an "ETC Service Team" to carry out ETC door-to-door promotion services in towns and villages where Zhuang and Yao people live together along the line. Many Zhuang and Yao compatriots have relatively little understanding of ETC, and the service team has handled ETC on the spot through explanation and publicity. The Yao people gave their thumbs up and praised the staff.

Next, the relevant departments will comprehensively carry out the "three entry" (village, town, community and other door-to-door installation) ETC issuance activities, so that the majority of car owners can run ETC in toll stations, communities, towns and villages.

Pay attention to the following points when handling ETC.

1. The Guangdong vehicles that can be handled at this expressway application point are limited to passenger cars and class I trucks, and the holders of Yuetong cards must be individuals (the owners may be different from the cardholders).

2. If the owner does not carry the original second-generation ID card and the original driving license, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots can apply for the card at any time with the original pass to and from the mainland (mainland).

3. At present, it takes two months to cancel the ETC account again, so please be careful.

4. If ETC cars are not installed from January 1st next year, you will not be able to enjoy the pass discount, and the equipment charging policy will be restored in the future.
